Good Films you can watch in seven minutes (or less) Take a look at 48hour TV, which shows hundreds of films 7 minutes or less made in that last few years for the AFI 48-hour competitions. Be cautious if you are concerned to see only films made for family viewing, since some of these are not. Also, some of these are so GOOD--really an inspiration in terms of what can be done in 48 hours. |
Our Judges![]() Brett Boessen
has been teaching or working in media and
communications for over a decade. He worked in
film and television production in New York City and
Indiana and then studied and taught at Indiana
University before moving to North Texas to teach at
Austin College. He has taught film production there since
2004.
Chessica Moon
Burton is an actor, most recently in
productions of the Sherman Community Players. She
has been associated with the Lone Star International
Film Festival as a Press Associate and with the AFI
Dallas International Film Festival for the past
three years, serving in several public relations
jobs, most recently as the Red Carpet
Coordinator. Chessica has worked on several
short films, on camera and off camera, and will be
involved in a feature film production this winter.
She is a member of TXMPA, the American Film
Institute, the Dallas Film Society and the Casting
Society of America and has served as a Casting
Assistant. Jean
Roelke is executive director of the Ghost Town
Arts Collective, located in Denison, and teaches
creative writing at the University of North Texas, in
Denton. An artist and poet, she has experimented with
film and is an avid film buff who often shows films in
her classes. |
