Dateline,
Sherman, TXWeek of Sept 19, 2011: Movies are in and the judges are at it!! In its fifth year, the Sherman Arts Festival Script-to-Screen Contest is on, and a handlful of teams chose to pit themselves against time and against the competition to write, shoot, and edit a SEVEN-minute film...all within 48 hours. The Mission: build your film team and film a 7-minute movie within 48-hours, any film genre: a drama, a comedy, a musical, a western, a thriller. Maybe even a silent film, but it must be finished within 48-hours. IMPOSSIBLE?? NO. But it's a challenge, and it's great fun. And there are prizes involved!!! Kick-Off is Friday, Sept 16, at 6:00pm at Hastings in Sherman. Turn-In is Sunday, Sept 18, at 8:00pm at Hastings in Sherman. Viewing and Awards Ceremony is Sunday, Sept 25, at 7:30pm, at the Honey McGee Theater in Sherman (313 W.
